Through highly competitive business events that involve the application of both the theoretical skills learned at school and the practical skills learned through our innovative and engaging series of workshops, Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) helps foster the natural spirit of competition embodied by students today, while instilling the career development skills and leadership opportunities needed to succeed in a career after graduation.
As important as these opportunities and experiences are, FBLA-PBL also understands that we are amongst fellow college students and members, and we wish to foster a personable culture within our organization which sets us apart from many organizations that tend to be impersonal and lacking in close rapport amongst its members. Therefore, we cherish the opportunities we have to host social gatherings and community service events within our chapter and across multiple chapters, as this helps us build a network of connections that could lead to opportunities in the future, as well as meaningful friendships that could last a lifetime. Because we are a national organization, our participation in state and national conferences allows us to meet new and exciting fellow PBL-ers that share the same career goals as us but also who wish to become part of your network as well. With FBLA-PBL, your expansion opportunities are endless, and as the largest student organization in the world, we are confident that our network of members will allow you to grow a network of meaningful connections that will spawn great opportunities that last a lifetime.
FBLA-PBL also recognizes that, in our future careers, many of us will be interacting with people with a wide array of professional backgrounds. It is this idea that serves as the basis for the premise of the organization: bring students of all courses of study and interests together and cultivate healthy, professional interaction. This is because the skills that FBLA-PBL teaches, such as public speaking, job interviewing, resume writing, and interpersonal communication, can be found in every single occupational field. Our membership includes pre-meds and engineers because students of all majors must have these career development skills to be competitive in the career of your choice. Our one-of-a-kind, all-inclusive approach, which instills career development and leadership opportunities in our members, separates FBLA-PBL from many of the business organizations in existence.
FBLA-PBL has been in existence for over 62 years and is the premier organization for students preparing for successful careers. We believe that you will gain a wealth of skills and experience as a member of our organization, and we wish to share with you what we have to offer.
